About Anesthesia Thoughts

I’m an anesthesiologist practicing in Los Angeles. I’m very passionate about learning and teaching, yet even with my passion, keeping up with the ever-evolving literature is challenging.

Most of the articles I see ask questions of little importance, are poorly designed, or altogether lack clinically impactful information. I’m not here to knock academic research—understanding the neural pathways of anesthesia is certainly important—but if a study doesn’t have the potential to change how one practices, why should the everyday anesthesiologist care?

My goal is to cut through the noise and highlight what actually matters clinically. I aim to share articles and insights that are directly applicable to our daily work while challenging the persistent myths that continue to be passed down. I hope you will walk away from these posts with ideas you can immediately use to improve your practice and better serve your patients.
